The Vision

Electronics manufacturing depends on thousands of technical requirements distributed across military specifications, IPC standards, international standards, customer specifications, and internal manufacturing procedures. Engineers often spend more time searching for information, interpreting requirements, and reconciling conflicting guidance than solving engineering problems.

The Global Electronics Specification Initiative is being developed to change that. Rather than replacing existing standards, it will organize them into a connected digital knowledge system that makes technical requirements easier to locate, understand, correlate, and apply.
